We are delighted to have put together a jam-packed programme of outstanding performers in the field of children's storytelling, music, dance and more for our festival on Saturday 18 July 2026. Read on to find out more!

Little Neuk Storytelling

We are so excited to kick off The Anstruther Children's Festival with a session run by Teresa of Little Neuk Storytelling! Aimed at children of all ages, join Teresa for interactive sea-themed stories and crafts!

The children will be able to guide the session, choosing the stories we share and helping to set the scene with music, lights and bubbles. After the stories, the children can choose from crafts including collage, mini sculptures or clay creations! All crafts will be able to be taken home as a souvenir of the fun.

Dragon Song Productions

Dragon Song Productions is a unique, imaginative children's theatre company. Specialising in interactive productions, books and storytelling programmes suitable for babies and preschool children.

Featuring a live reading of beloved stories by Scottish Book Trust author Rachel Huggins, Kipper the Sea Dragon and Bertie the Moon Dragon, this interactive session features handcrafted puppets, and original songs to elevate the storytelling experience for preschool children. This event is not to be missed!

Music with Jen

Jen’s Festival music session is a special one as it will run over lunchtime and be a Teddy Bears Picnic theme, where you can bring your favourite teddy, a packed lunch and a wee blanket and we will all have a musical delicious time!!

Join Jen later in the day for a disco like no other! Imagine your favourite nostalgic rave tunes, glow sticks, disco lights, remixes of your kids' favourite nursery rhymes and dancing your socks off! Grab your pals, your dancing shoes and join us for a great end to the day!

Ceilidh Kids

Ceilidh Kids is a wonderful chance to take part in Scottish dancing for all the family. Suitable for children aged 3-9 with parents or carers, but all are welcome to participate in whatever way they feel capable.

The session involves everyone: skip, clap and march together to traditional Scottish music, with very simple (often simplified) dances that you might find at a ceilidh or Scottish country dance.

Children should be accompanied by an adult who is willing to join in; one adult can dance with two children.
